About Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Program

In the event of an accident, the system waives your responsibility for paying deductibles regarding any property and/or vehicle damage.

※: You may neither accept nor cancel the CDW system in the midst of your rental period.
※: For a rental agreement of 15 days or more up to 1 month, an admission fee equivalent to 15 days’ rental will be charged, and the rental agreement period will be covered.
＊1: Customized parts such as lifts in aluminum-sided trucks and assistive vehicles are covered by vehicular insurance, but are not covered by the CDW. (The CDW covers parts other than the customized cargo compartment.)

About Non-Operation Charges (NOC)

In the event of the rental car’s accident, theft, breakdown, defacement and/or other problems on account of any reason not attributable to our company, should it becomes necessary to carry out repairs, cleaning and/or other tasks for the car, the following fees will be charged to you as part of“ compensation for business” during the time of the repairs, cleaning, and/or other tasks. (The NOC system will also be applied to in-vehicle equipment damage, holes burned in seats, etc.)

When the rental car is driven back to the scheduled business office: 20,000 yen

When the rental car cannot be driven back: 50,000 yen

※ The NOC system will be applied to you even when you accept the CDW system.

The vehicle transportation fee (to a factory specified by our company) will be covered up to 150,000 yen (tax included), and you will be responsible for paying any portion in excess of that amount.

About Rental car Assistance Pack (RAP)

In the event of an accident, your responsibility for paying the NOC amount will be waived.
If your vehicle suffers a puncture, the damaged tire will be repaired or replaced free of charge. ＊1＊2
There will be no additional charge if you return the vehicle up to one hour later than the prescheduled time. ＊3＊4
If the vehicle is returned in the middle of the rental period, then the early cancellation fee that is normally charged (50% of the difference) will be free of charge ＊5

＊2: You may be asked to pay upfront for repairing or replacing the damaged tire, to be reimbursed later.
＊3: This is conditional upon your contacting us no later than 1 hour before the prescheduled return time.
＊4: Only when the vehicle is returned within business hours.
＊5: This does not apply if the actual rental period is less than 12 hours.
＊6: This service is not available when renting trucks of 2t or higher class, double cabs, microbuses or suspension aluminum vans (excluding vehicles for welfare purposes).

Enrollment in Rental Car Assistance Pack (RAP) entitles you to the following services:

Payment exemption of accident-related NOCs

Cost to repair or replace tires exempted

Join RAP at contract time, and you'll be at ease: it also covers tire problems.

※: You may be asked to pay upfront for repairing or replacing the damaged tire, to be reimbursed later.
※: If a new tire is to be purchased, a tire equivalent to the damaged tire must be chosen (up to 20,000 yen including tax).

1 additional hour is free of charge

No need to worry about being late due to a traffic jam! Relax and drive safely to the store.

※: You have to pay any extra fees if the vehicle is returned more than 1 hour later than planned.
※: Contact the store at least 1 hour before the planned return time.
※: Only when the vehicle is returned within business hours.

Refunds for an early return

Normally, 50% of the difference is refunded in case of an early return, but you can receive a full refund with this.

※: This does not apply if the actual rental period is less than 12 hours.

Road service contents and coverage

Vehicle transport service

Up to 150,000 yen (tax included) per accident or similar incident will be compensated.
You will be responsible for paying any portion in excess of 150,000 yen (tax included).
The transportation destination will be a factory or similar place specified by our company.

Emergency first aid service

If it becomes impossible to drive your rental car because of the battery going flat, the vehicle breaking down, or similar troubles happening to the vehicle itself, emergency measures that can be carried out in 30 minutes or so will be conducted. However, you will be liable to pay for such tasks and/or similar matters that will not be covered by the service, or for any portion in excess of the maximum compensation limit.

Driving difficulties such as tire stacking (spinning) or slipping, etc. due to snowy, muddy or sandy roads and paths, etc. are not eligible for road service.
You will be responsible for the cost of repair to damaged tires or tire replacement.
If the tire repair kit is used, the repair kit fee will be borne by the customer.

＊1: Gas shortage means a situation where a vehicle’s engine cannot be started because it ran out of fuel.
＊2: It is possible to carry out measures only for a person whose identification can be verified with the rental car’s certificate of renting in the following manner:
● When it was possible to verify the person’s identification by using the driver’s license and by providing an employee identification card or name card whose company name was the same as the lessee company name written in the certificate of renting
※: In cases that do not correspond to the specified conditions, you will be responsible for paying the costs.
※: When you received any service other than those listed above, you will be responsible for paying the fee on site.
※: Before using, please contact ORIX call center. If you make arrangements yourself without notifying us in advance, we may not be able to provide various items of guidance or arrangements.
◎: Some of the road services will be provided based on the non-life insurance contract concluded by our company.

The coverage program (CDW・RAP) does not apply to the following cases.

(1): When there was no prescribed procedure such as contacting the police or ORIX call center from the accident scene in the case of an accident
(2): Usage in violation of clauses in the rental agreement.
◆: Damage was caused by unauthorized (illegal) parking
◆: Driving under the influence of alcohol and drunk driving
◆: Drug use
◆: Unauthorized extension
◆: Driving of the vehicle by a driver other than the driver described in the contract or a secondary driver approved by the driver described in the contract
◆: Sub-renting
◆: Driving without a license (including cases where you drove a vehicle type that was not permitted and/or where you drove while your driver’s license was suspended)
◆: An unauthorized business arrangement was made
◆: You used the rental car for conducting various tests and/or games, for towing another car, and/or for pushing another car from behind
◆: Other accidents and/or similar incidents corresponding to the exclusion of liability stipulated in the rental agreement (renting agreement)
(3): Other cases listed as disclaimer in the insurance agreement.
◆: An accident was caused intentionally
◆: The key is missing or damaged
◆: Damage to properties that you possess, use and/or manage
◆: Loss caused by an earthquake, volcanic eruption, or resulting tsunami, etc.
(4): Improper use or management of the rental car.
◆: The rental car was stolen when you parked it with the key left in the key hole or without locking the car
◆: Loss due to damage or corrosion of the vehicle body caused by poor usage
◆: An item equipped in the vehicle was soiled and/or damaged
◆: An item equipped with the vehicle was missing and/or damaged
◆: The rental car's wheel cover is missing or damaged
◆: Damage was caused by installing a tire chain, a carrier, and/or a child seat, and/or by carrying out an improper installation
◆: The vehicle was damaged when driving on a sea coast, river bed, or woodland path, and/or on a place other than a roadway（an accident happened on a place other than on a managed and maintained road）
◆: Loss caused by selection of the wrong fuel type when refueling
◆: Damage was caused by an operation carried out by a person who was not qualified for operating a crane, a vehicle for work in high places, and/or similar
(5): Others
◆: Damage to the crane body of a crane vehicle (including outriggers)
※: You will be responsible for paying the actual cost of the above mentioned damage to which the insurance and compensation system will not be applied, or any damage exceeding the maximum compensation limit.
※: It is necessary to report to the police if you would like the compensation system to be applied to any damage caused by a hit-and-run accident carried out by an unknown person, or any damage caused by someone breaking into the rental car.
