    What do I do in an accident?
    A

    In the event of an accident, do the following:

    1. Assist anyone who is injured
    2. Contact the police (110) to report the accident
    3. Confirm the relevant information of the other party

    What if there's a little scratch or minor damage?
    A

    We apologize for the inconvenience, but damage of any extent will be treated as an accident. Please report it to the police, and contact the ORIX call center written on the Rental Guide. If the car is dropped off without completing the required procedures, insurance and compensation won't be applied, and any damage incurred shall be the renter's responsibility.

    What should I do when fuel or electricity is low?
    A

    Fill the gas or charge well in advance.

    I don't know how to open the gas tank.
    A

    It's different by car type and maker, so please check at the time of pick-up, or check the provided manual or car itself after you park the car at a safe place.

    What if I want to return the car to other rental site?
    A

    Contact your pick-up site to speak with a representative about matters such as your desired drop-off site.

    What should I do if I lock the car with the key inside?
    A

    What happens when I get a parking ticket?
    A

    Appear at the police station concerned, complete all required procedures, and pay the fine at a designated financial institution before drop-off. We will check dated documents including payment receipt at drop-off.

    What if the rental car parked in a parking lot got some damage?
    A

    Be sure to do the following in the event of a hit-and-run. If not attended to as follows, the damage won't be covered by insurance compensation.

    1. File a damage report with the police

    After finishing the police report, please complete the procedures to obtain a Traffic Accident Report.

    What if I have a flat tire?
    A

    It is extremely dangerous to drive with a flat tire. Please park the car in a safe place and contact the ORIX call center written on the Rental Guide.

    The car will be transported to the nearest gas station when there's no spare. Customers bear repair cost of a damaged tire, costs of a tire, or lost hubcaps.

    What should I do if there's a strange noise?
    A

    Must all passengers wear seatbelts?
    A

    Yes, they must. In accordance with the revised Road Traffic Law, enforced as of June 1, 2008, rear-seat passengers are also required to wear them.
